Emmy have a degree in advertising and a love for all things art & illustration. After spending around 2 years travelling and not getting any closer to working out what she want to do with her life…. it’s now office job by day, and artist by night for her. Expect illustrations that lend themselves towards the feminist point of view, bright colours, flowers, and sassy ladies.
She is partial to drawing a portrait and maybe writing a cringey quote, so if you want her to draw something for you – hit her up.
I did an interview with fab lady run collective Common Girl. Since taking my art into a more feminist style, I’ve not only found that I can express myself easier – I also really like what I’m doing. It feels empowering, energetic, enthusiastic. I’ve written before about struggling to find my jam when it came to illustration – I know I’ve got something, but I don’t know how far I can take it without falling into major critique of myself.
This community however is inspiring and supportive. I’m into it. When Common Girl asked me if they could feature an interview with me, naturally I jumped at the chance.
